Do You Know My King?

The Bible says My King is a seven-way King:

  • He’s the King of the Jews
  • He’s the King of Israel
  • He’s the King of Righteousness
  • He’s the King of the Ages
  • He’s the King of Heaven
  • He’s the King of Glory
  • He’s the King of Kings and Lord of Lords

In the Old Testament My King said, “I AM WHO I AM.” and in the New Testament 7 times My King said, “I AM.”

  • I AM the Bread of Life
  • I AM the Light of the World
  • I AM the Gate
  • I AM the Good Shepard
  • I AM the Resurrection and the Life
  • I AM the True Vine

 In the Old Testament, David said the heavens declare the Glory of God and the firmament shows His handiwork.

My King is a sovereign King

  • No means of measure can define His limitless love
  • No long-range telescope can bring into focus the magnitude of who He is and what He created
  • No barrier can hinder Him from pouring out His blessings
  • He’s enduringly strong
  • He’s entirely sincere
  • He’s eternally steadfast
  • He’s enduringly strong

  • He’s imperially powerful

Do You Know My King?

  • He’s the greatest Phenomenon that has ever passed the horizon of this world
  • He’s God’s Son

  • He stands alone in the solitude of Himself
  • He doesn’t need to call for help and you can’t confuse Him
  • He doesn’t need you and He doesn’t need me

  • He’s preeminent
  • He’s supreme
  • He’s the Loftiest Idea in literature
  • He’s the Highest Personality in philosophy
  • He’s the Supreme Problem in higher criticism
  • He’s the Fundamental Doctrine of True Theology
  • He’s the Being that necessitates all spiritual religion
  • He’s the Miracle of the ages
  • He’s the Superlative of everything good that you choose to call Him
  • He’s the Only One qualified to be an all-sufficient Savior
  • He’s the Prize Strength for the weak
  • He’s available for the tempted and tried
  • He can satisfy all your needs and He can do it simultaneously
  • He sympathizes and He saves
  • He strengthens and He sustains
  • He guards and He guides
  • He heals the sick
  • He cleanses the leaper
  • He forgives the sinner
  • He discharges the debtor
  • He delivers the captive
  • He defend the feeble
  • He blesses the young
  • He serves the unfortunate
  • He regards the aged
  • He rewards the diligent
  • He beatifies the meager

Do You Know My King?

  • He’s the KEY to Knowledge
  • He’s the WELLSPRING to Wisdom
  • He’s the DOORWAY to Deliverance
  • He’s the PATHWAY to Peace
  • He’s the ROADWAY of Righteousness
  • He’s the HIGHWAY of Holiness
  • He’s the GATEWAY of Glory
  • His office is manifold
  • His promise is sure
  • His light is matchless
  • His goodness is limitless
  • His mercy is everlasting
  • His love is never changing
  • His word is enough
  • His grace is sufficient
  • His reign is righteous
  • His yoke is easy and His burden is light

Do You Know My King?

  • He’s the Alpha and Omega
  • He’s the Beginning and the End
  • He’s the First and Last
  • He’s the Giver of Life
  • He’s the Joy out of Every Sorrow
  • He’s the Light out of Every Darkness
  • He’s the Giver of Every Good and Perfect Gift

  • He’s the Author and Finisher of our Faith
  • He’s the Bread of Life
  • He’s the Counselor
  • He’s the Deliverer
  • He’s the Everlasting Father
  • He’s the Friend to Sinners
  • He’s the Good Shepard
  • He’s the High Priest
  • He’s the Intercessor
  • He’s the Just One
  • He’s the King
  • He’s the Lamb of God
  • He’s the Messiah
  • He’s the Nazarene
  • He’s the Only Begotten Son
  • He’s the Prince of Peace
  • He’s the Most Quoted of all time in History
  • He’s the Rock of Ages
  • He’s the Son of Man
  • He’s the Truth
  • He’s the Unfailing One
  • He’s the Vine
  • He’s the Way
  • He’s the X in X-mas (the Greek symbol for Christ)
  • He’s Yahweh
  • He’s the Zeal of Life

I wish I could describe Him to you … BUT

  • He’s indescribable
  • He’s incomprehensible
  • He’s invincible
  • He’s irresistible

You can’t get Him in your hands … and you can’t get Him out of your head.
You can’t outlive Him … and you can’t live without Him.

  • There was nobody before Him
  • There will be nobody after Him
  • He has no predecessor
  • He has no successor
  • You can’t impeach Him and He’s not going to resign.

Do You Know My King?

  • The Pharisees couldn’t stand Him
  • But they found out they couldn’t stop Him
  • Pilot couldn’t find any fault in Him
  • The witnesses couldn’t get their testimonies to agree against Him
  • Herod couldn’t kill Him
  • Death couldn’t handle Him
  • And the grave couldn’t hold Him         

Now That is My King … for He Alone is Worthy of our Praise!

For Thine is the Kingdom, The Honor and The Power and The Glory Forever and ever and ever and ever …
And when you get through all of the forever’s … He alone is the AMEN!

Did You Know God Loves to Showcase His Mercy?

How would we live our lives if we truly understood that our purpose is to love Him and to love His reflection in our neighbors? The truth is we are chosen, loved, welcomed, counted holy and blameless because of what Christ accomplished on the cross for us. Jesus said “It is finished” (John 19:30) and He alone paid the price for us to be received by His Father in eternity.

Christians, Can We Stop Romanticizing Marriage & Scriptures Already?

Don’t get me wrong, I believe healthy marriages are the foundation to any flourishing society and I’m in no way minimizing or chastising marriage or the need for children and families. I’m simply advocating for realism in our Christian literature and daily devotionals targeted towards women – especially as it relates to the relationship between Christ as the bridegroom and the church as the bride. It's like the Easter Bunny to Christ’s Resurrection or Santa Clause to the Birth of Christ - and it's the exact reason I prefer Oswald Chambers over others like Max Lucado.
