‘Never Trust, Always Verify’: Federal Migration to ZTA and Endpoint Security [Video]

In the wake of high-profile data breaches, the U.S. government is working to modernize its cybersecurity efforts by establishing “zero trust” architecture. To assist the U.S. federal government’s efforts to improve its cyber defenses and secure its endpoints, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) undertook a six-month research project focused on evaluating obstacles to implementing federal zero trust efforts and opportunities for accelerating the shift to better security. Please join CSIS on June 16 at 2:30pm ET for a discussion with expert panelists on the future of zero trust and how the federal government can better implement cybersecurity policies. This project was made possible by Tanium.———————————————A nonpartisan institution, CSIS is the top national security think tank in the world. The Future of Quantum – Driving Innovation and Security from the Government [Video]

Quantum has the potential to drive economic growth and bring innovation to a range of industries, from advancing our national defense to revolutionizing the foundations of computing. With the potential benefits of quantum, there are also significant risks, such as the ability for a quantum computer to break much of the public-key encryption used across the world. Recent initiatives, like the Executive Order on Enhancing the National Quantum Initiative Advisory Committee and the National Security Memorandum on Promoting United States Leadership in Quantum Computing While Mitigating Risks to Vulnerable Cryptographic Systems demonstrate ways in which the government is seeking to balance the opportunities for technological change with the proposed security risks of quantum applications.Join CSIS for the next event in the Future of Quantum Series to discuss the government’s approach to promoting and safeguarding against innovations in quantum.———————————————A nonpartisan institution, CSIS is the top national security think tank in the world.
