Friends, I truly desire my writings to be uplifting and encouraging – but in doing so I cannot ignore political issues – especially in these days and living in Upstate NY (NY-21). So kindly allow me a little leeway (decompressing from the Biden Presidential State of the Union) before we jump into scripture.
Sadly, the system now cannot handle intelligent, bright children rooted in Godly wisdom ready to take-on the world. Those children grow into ungovernable adults, entrepreneurs and risk takers grounded in their knowledge of who they are in relation to God’s Word and their enormous value to God – regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, disability or any other personal characteristic.
Honestly, I’ve grown weary of the palpable weaponization of poverty and homelessness in our country. It’s a cudgel wielded by political parties living far away from the consequences of their poor planning and enflamed passions of ‘useful idiots’. It takes everything I have at times to pray for our leaders – especially when they use racism as a main tool in their divisive rhetoric.

The Bible says My King is a seven-way King: He’s the King of the Jews;
He’s the King of Israel; He’s the King of Righteousness; He’s the King of the Ages; He’s the King of Heaven;
He’s the King of Glory; He’s the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Honestly, as a broken and bruised ‘happy warrior’ I find it difficult to stay connected to God while everything around me decays. It’s a strange feeling – one which makes me ponder scripture verses like Psalm 51 – and residing in Upstate New York you’d think nearly half the country has gone mad.
